Gold stars and gold rings
Rest requires two Gold Rings: one from the five-Star Locked Ring Box, and Alice's ring reported after sparing Eddie. Each Star route below includes the prerequisites, not just the nearest landmark.

Five reported Star routes
Get the Locked Ring Box from the Miner Diner restroom sink. Permanent missability is unresolved; no post-patch guarantee is made.
- Rabbit Hole: collect the Star from the central bar-room table.
- Motel Room 3 / Bungalo 3: return to the Outskirts with the Church Hill Sledgehammer, enter the lighthouse and climb for the Motel Room Key. Use that key and code 6671 at the motel to reach the Star. The lighthouse holds the key, not the Star.
- Quiet Hour Cafe, Downtown: return after the Cemetery story section for the Star beside the wounded man. This is not Miner Diner.
- Downtown caravan hole: after the bells and cable-car trip, return when the digger has left. Take the caravan Shovel and dig the bottom of his hole.
- Thelend Exterior: speak with the yellow-raincoat girl near the broadcasting entrance and collect the Star after the interaction.
Both Gold Rings and their use
All acquisition steps are reported. The file source establishes five Stars and two ring recesses, not every ending-condition check.
- Combine five Stars with the Locked Ring Box to obtain one Gold Ring.
- Save after the final boss before Eddie's choice. At Kill Eddie Velvet?, choose Leave to spare him.
- Back in Downtown, go left into the West Road floodwater and take Alice's Gold Ring. Guides report it only appears after sparing Eddie.
- Insert both rings at the Rabbit Hole stage wall. Rest continues with conversations, a chase and an extra fight; inserting rings is not its final step.
