The general store keypad is 2311. The clue document in the game is titled The General Store Code. The first melee weapon is not inside the shop.

Checked 14 October 2026. NPC Tips' Outskirts records are build 25827516, checked 11 October; the 2311 code table uses 25806663. Bonus Action, updated 12 October without a build number, calls the lock a freezer and describes taking the Check-in Key there. NPC Tips calls it a keypad door and maps the Checkin Key outside the store. That naming/location mismatch is retained, not silently resolved.
Store, check-in and underpass
The fixed number is 2311 in NPC Tips' file table. The reported clue joins 23 and calendar day 11; do not perform arithmetic addition.
- Collect the Boxcutter outside Rodney's General Store.
- Read The General Store Code and use 2311 at the store's keypad lock. Bonus Action identifies this as the freezer.
- Collect the Checkin Key for the motel check-in desk; guides differ on its exact placement.
- Take the Underpass Key in the Pharmacy back room.
- Use the Boxcutter on the reported tarp obstruction, then open the Motel Road underpass gate with the key.
- Continue to motel check-in and read your Guest Ledger; 2311 is not the motel entrance code.
Local collection checks
The file source records a Hip Bag outside the store, but reports access from the motel's upper walkway rather than assuming it is reachable immediately. The underpass/shore route also has a reported Shard. Return to Miner Diner with the Boxcutter for its lower-floor Memento.
