Wych Elm, the studio behind Silver Pines
Steam lists the developer as Wych Elm and the publisher as Team17. The copyright line on the official site is © 2026 Wych Elm AB.
Evidence and limits
I read Linus Larsson's 1 June 2026 interview directly on 80.lv and checked the developer/publisher fields on Steam. The interview's team size is a dated statement, not a live employee count.
Who made Silver Pines?
Wych Elm is the developer and Team17 the publisher. Co-founder and designer Linus Larsson described a five-person studio working remotely from Sweden and Norway in the 1 June 2026 80.lv interview. The current headcount was not separately verified.
How the visual style was made
Larsson describes filmed performances drawn over frame by frame for character animation. The environment artist modifies and paints photographic textures, combining 2D imagery with an in-engine 3D simulation. These are developer descriptions of the production process, not claims from our own asset inspection.
